Protective Behaviours Training in Wootton

As spring gains momentum – fluffy chicks, baby lambs, flowers appearing – there seems to be a lot of new growth in the areas of Safeguarding and Protective Behaviours too,  which feels  exciting.   Protective Behaviours 2-Day Foundation Training will be held in Wootton, Northamptonshire on 1st and 15th May, some spaces still left – can click ‘Contact’ for further details and booking form.

The Police and Crime Commission in Northamptonshire produced a report in March about children and young people online; most children are accessing the internet, and many of them feel unsafe at times while online – though they are not telling an adult!  Work to be done here, I think, to promote children’s right to feel safe when online and also that we can talk with someone who can help us if we are feeling unsafe.  Professionals and families working together to safeguard children online — makes sense to me.

Not long now until the seminar event “Helping Children Feel Safe and Heard” in Milton Keynes on 21st April — still some spaces left so please click here to book a place 🙂 Professionals from across all sectors exploring how to help young children find ways to feel safer and to make sure their voices are heard.

National awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation is evolving at a pace with schools being challenged to proactively raise the profile of CSE risk, while helping to equip children and young people with resilience and self-worth.  A multi-agency CSE conference in Northamptonshire will hopefully be announced soon.

…..Hoping to make lots of new connections in the coming weeks, with people who strive to create a safer world tomorrow for the children of today.
